A tree fell on the shed at the pier. The tree has been removed and a contract has been signed for repairs of the shed. We hope to have this finished around mid-May. Our insurance is covering the cost of repairs, except for our $500 deductible.
Reminder - the land where the power lines run is your neighbors' back yards SMECO has a right-of-way but the neighboring residents own the land. If you are riding your ATV there, you are not only ripping up the land, you are trespassing on your neighbors. Please respect their property and privacy, and the community's environment.
Assessments -- for lots and also for slips at the pier -- are due no later than 1 May. $130 per lot and $100 per slip. If you haven't already paid, please send your check NOW to:

Potassium Iodine Tablets Available to County Residents
Potassium Iodine tablets are available free of charge at the Calvert County Health Department in Prince Frederick for anyone who lives within 10 miles of the power plant. The Health Department is located in Prince Frederick near the hospital at 975 Solomon's Island Road and is open Monday -Friday from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.
